Stop The Artist Or I’ll Go Underground (2024)

Overview

Johan Kuipers expresses his doubts about being an artist. In particular, his regularly recurring desire to quit my profession plays a major role. The video is an accumulation of applications of the video medium: music, art and advertising videos and documentary fragments placed roughly one after the other. The whole of the separate videos almost ‘reads’ like a portfolio, but ultimately it is a kind of pilot broadcast of Bedhelm TV, a TV channel that broadcasts Kuipers’ music and music videos non-stop.
